Official German Participation at PSA 2002

The Official German Participation at PSA 2002 has launched a website to inform about the Presentation of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The German pump, compressor and industrial valve industry is a vital sector of the capital goods industry and one of the most multifaceted specialized segments in mechanical engineering. Pumps, compressors and valves are chiefly used in the fields of environmental protection, in the chemical and petrochemical industries, in the public utility sector (e. g. water, energy), in shipbuilding and in many other process technology based industries.

Due to its high product quality and long-term research and devolopment activities, the German pump, compressor and valve industry earned an excellent reputation throughout the world. In 2000, the sector achieved a volume of production of 7.7 billion EURO with an export rate of about 80 %. German exports to the ASEAN region accounted for 143 million EURO. These facts and the German participation in this years exhibition shows the important role the ASEAN region plays for German manufacturers.

The German pavilion at the PSA 2002 offers all visitors a platform for informing themselves on the wide range of products and technologies made by German companies. The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), the German Engineering Association (VDMA) welcome you to the Official German Presentation at PSA 2002 in Singapore.

In June, Frankfurt will once again be the centre of the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries: The 34th ACHEMA will be opened by the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Robert Habeck on June 10.
