New Wilo Booster Sets for Leisure Application

12.05.2004

Wilo, the leading European manufacturer of pumps and pumping systems, has launched a new range of booster sets that have been specifically designed for water supply and pressure boosting applications at sports grounds, leisure centres and golf courses.

The new range of booster sets offer high performance, reliable operation, are easy to install and maintain and provide flow rates ranging from 8m³/hour to 390m³/hour.

The Wilo-Economy and Wilo-Comfort range encompasses single pump sets, variable speed single pump sets and multi stage booster sets that have been specially designed for use in leisure applications. The range also includes versions that offer exceptionally low levels of noise, making them particularly appropriate for use in clubhouses and leisure centres, where unnecessary pump noise would adversely affect the atmosphere of a relaxing environment.

The Wilo-Economy single pump booster sets are ideal for sports grounds and other leisure facilities that require flow rates from 8m³/hour to 65m³/hour, at heads of between 110 and 150 metres. The booster sets incorporate either stainless steel, high pressure centrifugal pumps or maintenance free, silent pumps, and are available as non self-priming or supplied with a break tank, depending on requirements.

The Wilo-Comfort infinitely variable speed booster sets are ideal for leisure applications where water supply and pressure boosting demands can vary considerably; for example, the range is capable of providing outputs from 14m³/hour to 20m³/hour. All the units within the range are mounted onto stainless steel bases supplied with all necessary ancillary equipment. Operating parameters can be set via a single button, with infinitely variable speed control being provided by an integrated frequency inverter.

At the top end of the range are Wilo's multi stage booster sets, supplied with up to four or six pumps depending on requirements. Available with varying levels of electronic controls, the range is capable of providing flow rates of between 75 and 390 m³/hour. The most advanced booster set within the range is equipped with a MVI centrifugal pump, combined with a programmable micro computer control and an alphanumeric LCD display, with an easy to use menu for inputting operating parameters.

Chlorine Gas Systems: New Electric Safety Valve Makes the System Safer

13.12.2024 -

Chlorine gas plays a key role in the disinfection of drinking and industrial water. However, handling the chemical can pose considerable health risks – from irritation of the eyes to fatal pulmonary oedema. To further improve occupational safety during use, Lutz-Jesco has developed the VakuStop – a vacuum regulator for dosing systems that is equipped with an emergency stop function to prevent uncontrolled chlorine gas leaks directly at the chlorine gas tank in the event of an emergency.
