New Web Shop for Pumps and Valves
Early in January this year, KSB AG in Frankenthal launched its new Web Shop, providing round-the-clock access to its product range for registered customers all over the world.
The system offers different ways of searching for a product using a variety of defined search criteria. For example, you can choose a product by specifying the type, a product name or a specific application. Detailed views supply a complete range of product information from drawings and photographs to type series brochures and typical tenders. All of these documents can also be downloaded as PDF files. A set of individual conditions is stored in the system for each customer, allowing an exact price to be calculated in no time at all for any of 3000 models. This provides consultants and engineering contractors with a reliable costing tool. The shop, which you can visit in English, French or German, also facilitates spare parts procurement, offering access to some 500,000 spare parts. Downtimes are kept to a minimum because the spares required to repair a pump or valve can be located quickly and ordered by simply clicking the mouse. Product orders can be placed either directly or using the shopping cart feature. Integration of customer materials management systems is an additional option. All transactions are encrypted for optimum security to safeguard information on customer business activities from unauthorized intrusions.
