New president of Italy´s pump manufacturer´s association

On September 28, 2001, during the General Assembly of Assopompe, the Italian association of pump manufacturers, Paolo Marinovich was elected president and Alberto Caprari vice-president for the next two years.

On September 28, 2001, during the General Assembly of Assopompe, the Italian association of pump manufacturers, Paolo Marinovich was elected president and Alberto Caprari vice-president for the next two years. Marinovich, president of Lowara (ITT Industries), based in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza), succeeds Vittorio Vergani (Finder group) who headed the association for 6 years. Caprari, deputy general manager of the family company based in Modena, succeeds Alfredo Mantovani. Secretary General of the association is Aldo Janigro.

Membership of Assopompe is open also to sales and trading companies in the Italian pump industry. Assopompe provides its members with regular information on the general economic and segment trends and market statistics, organizes technical conventions, supports the members with technical publications, including the latest industry standards. As a member of Europump, Assopompe contributes to the definition of these standards at the

international level.

Currently Assopompe counts 30 member firms, with an aggregate turnover above 750 millions Euro (75% of the total Italian industry) and more than 4.600 employees.
