Caprari, founded by Amadio Caprari in 1945, is one of the leading pump manufacturers in Italy. The company has subsidiaries in the UK, Spain, France and Germany. The sales and service network covers 70 countries on all continents.
Besides the pump factory in Modena, the production facilities include a submersible motors factory and a cast iron foundry. The group employs over 600 people.
With more than 40.000 visitors per month, impeller.net is the world's leading information source for the pump community. It is the only website featuring editorial pump-related content as well as an online pump selection and configuration facility with pump data of major manufacturers. Curve calculation methods as well as the optional allocation of components like motors, shaft seals, couplings etc., enable the exact configuration of the pump unit according to the requirements of the user. The arrangement of the chosen pump assembly is finally transferred by e-mail to the pump supplier who - in response - will provide a quotation.
The web platform is operated by the software and Internet company VSX – VOGEL SOFTWARE which is specialized in solutions for the fluid handling industry. Since the start of the site three years ago a dynamic development has taken place. The traffic has increased significantly within the last year, resulting in doubled numbers of users and page impressions.
