New Grundfos Multistage Pumps with Integrated Variable Speed Drive
Grundfos announced the extension of its CH family of horizontal multistage centrifugal pumps by the CHIE model integrating an MGE variable speed motor. The controller enables the pump to continuously operate as efficiently as possible, thus saving energy.

The pumps of the CH series are well known for their robustness in many different applications including pressure boosting, water treatment and industrial applications.
The CHIE model integrates an MGE variable speed motor that enables the pump to continuously operate as efficiently as possible, thus saving energy. Other benefits see all of the components that come into contact with the pumped liquid being manufactured from high quality stainless steel.
The integral control panel on the terminal box of the pump incorporates: control buttons for setpoint setting, light fields that indicate the setting range and indicator lights – green (operational) and red (fault).
Variable control means the pump can operate in any duty point within the range between the minimum and maximum performance curves. The duty point can be set either on the control panel of the terminal box or via the Grundfos R100 remote control. When in-situ the pump can be connected to a BMS (building management system).
With such flexibility the CHIE is bound to quickly become a stalwart of many pump systems for years to come.
