New Chairman of the Board of Management at KSB

On 15 February 2006, the Supervisory Board of the pumps and valves manufacturer KSB appointed Heinz-Jürgen Otto (56) to the Board of Management.

He will join KSB AG and take over the position of Chairman of the Board of Management on 1 April 2006. In this function he will replace Peter Schubert, who had been released from the Supervisory Board to take on this position on 5 July 2005.

Heinz-J. Otto is currently Chairman of the Board of Grammer AG, a German company in the automobile supply industry. As a qualified plastics engineer he has previously held senior positions with various European companies of General Electric Corp, with the Swiss company Landis & Gyr AG, Owens Corning Corp. in the USA and Johnson Controls Inc., Burscheid, Germany.

With the international experience of the new Chairman of the Board, KSB aims to extend global cooperation in the Group and to increase the focus on new growth markets.

In addition to his position as Chairman, Heinz-J. Otto will also take on the function of Human Resources Director. The responsibilities of Board members Dr. Willi Enderle and Dr. Alois Wittmann do not change.
