New CFO at Pfeiffer Vacuum

The Supervisory Board of Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG has relieved Amandus Waterkamp of his duties as Chief Financial Officer of Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG and appointed Diplom-Betriebswirt (MBA) Manfred Bender (39) to succeed him.

Manfred Bender has been serving as Business Operations Manager at Pfeiffer Vacuum since 1998. After receiving his degree in Business Administration at the Technical University of Giessen-Friedberg, Bender had initially worked in Controlling, Corporate Auditing and IT at an internationally operating, medium-sized manufacturing group.

Manfred Bender will be personally introduced at the financial press conference and subsequent analyst conference in Frankfurt on March 25, 2004, in connection with the presentation of the company’s 2003 annual financial results.
