Micropump Release a New Range of OEM Brushless DC Drive Solutions

20.08.2001

Micropump is pleased to announce the release of its range of OEM brushless DC drive solutions.

The design is based on Micropumps's patented Integral Series drive that combines a pump, brushless DC drive technology and the controller into one single unit.

The drive is an integral part of the pump and the pumping parts are moved without physical contact by a rotating electric field.

The original design of the Integral Series has been favoured by machine builders due to the following features:

  • compact size
  • low power consumption
  • built in speed controller
  • tachometer output
  • drive has no moving parts
  • wide speed range

To meet the demand for lower cost and reduced size, Micropump has developed an OEM version of the Integral Series, that just uses a drive stator connected directly to the pump. Included with the stator assembly are the hall sensors that detect and control the speed of the pump. The drive electronics have been removed from the assembly and can be supplied on a separate circuit board, or designed in with existing circuit boards. The second option normally gives the best scope for rationalising the design of the motor control circuits and reducing costs.

An experienced member from our electronics design team will support you in the design and integration of the drive onto your system.

In addition, we can tailor the pump design and performance to meet your exact requirements. This may be as simple as changing a port configuration, or a more fundamental design change that alters the performance of the pump.

Micropump have been supplying OEM pumping solutions for the last 40 years and our experienced design staff will work closely with you to deliver the solution that is uniquely tailored to your requirements.
