Lower Cost Sensor Provides Longer Life

Walchem Corporation introduces a more cost-effective sensor for the WEC electrodeless conductivity controller. The new Walchem PEEKTM sensor offers a lower cost solution than previous versions for submersion applications. Lower cost is due to the steelsubmersion adapter not being required.

The new lower cost PEEKTM sensor fits into the same space, and has similar specs, making it a drop-in replacement for the existing sensor. The electrodeless sensor design measures accurately over a wide dynamic range and can be used in applications from 50µS to 1000mS. The PEEKTM electrodeless sensor design resists fouling, providing longer unattended service.

The non-contacting toroidal sensor technology eliminates the contamination and calibration issues that direct contacting sensors are prone to. The conductivity measurement is extremely reliable, the sensor is immune to thin coatings that would impair operation of direct contacting sensors and a wide range of conductivity may be measured.

PEEKTM sensor construction results in excellent mechanical strength, high temperature capability and resistance to chemical attack. The PEEKTM sensor is perfect for applications in metal finishing for multi-stage washers, PCB etchant installations and fume scrubbers.
