Low Cost Energy Efficient Pumping from Wilo

28.04.2004

The latest generation of the Wilo-Smart 'one size fits all' automatic circulator offers high levels of reliability and genuine energy savings in a wide range of light commercial applications such as hospitals, local authorities, leisure centres, municipal buildings and council flats.

Available at the same price as conventional circulators, the latest Wilo-Smart circulator is supplied in one standard size, making specification and installation exceptionally easy.

In particular, the latest Wilo-Smart is able to offer exceptionally low noise and energy efficiency operation as it is designed to adjust its performance automatically in line with varying system demands caused by TRV's and seasonal requirements.

The new pump incorporates a unique, patented automatic dejamming system, which enables it to free direct and minor debris, thereby improving operating reliability and minimising the need for installers to attend calls for jammed pumps.

In addition, as Wilo-Smart is a UK standard size pump - 130mm port to port - it is exceptionally easy to install and set up. It features 3 easy to set pre-programmable settings; once these have been set the pump will automatically adjust to suit system performance.

The energy saving, automatic circulator also incorporates flats near the inlet and outlet ports allowing the unit to be held firm with a spanner while the unions are tightened. Furthermore, Wilo-Smart features quick fit connectors for easy wiring of live, neutral and earth connections and has an easy to understand switch on the terminal box, allowing easy set up.

Wilo-Smart offers a wide performance range and is capable of operating at a high flow rate of 2.75m/h, at a maximum head of 6 metres. In addition, the automatic speed regulation provided by the new circulator makes it suitable for use in both new and replacement applications.

Stuart Herritty, Managing Director of Wilo Salmson explains, "Wilo-Smart is ideal for a wide range of light commercial applications as it's easy to install and set up, offers genuine energy savings through low running costs - all at the same price as conventional circulators. Furthermore, as it can be used in virtually all heating systems it takes all the hassle out of specification."
