Lou Torres has Taken on the Task as National Sales Manager of Wangen America

As of April 11th this year, Mr. Lou Torres Jr. has taken on the task as national sales manager at Wangen America, Torres Jr. will focus in particular on the further expansion of the distribution network of the product range progressing cavity pumps for the markets wastewater, industry, biogas, agriculture and chemistry.

"I am thrilled that Wangen America‘s products have unique selling points, which have a clear entitlement on the North American pump market and bring a real added value for the customer," explained Torres, who was already successful in the past as national sales manager in another industry and most recently managed a trading company in the field process technology.

"Lou Torres makes a great addition to Wangen America," says Edward Weiss, senior vice president. "The steadily growing demand as well as the necessary customer proximity, demand to be local. Our customers and partners are delighted about this strong commitment to the North American market."

Wangen America, Inc. is a subsidiary of Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH, based in Wangen/Germany. There, progressing cavity pumps have been manufactured for the domestic and international market since 1969. Twin screw pumps have been also part of the product portfolio since 2012.

BPMA Welcomes its New President

Lee Tebbatt, Managing Director of Wilo UK has been announced as the new President of the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA), following a two-year tenure in the role of Vice President. The position was officially passed on during the BPMA’s Annual General Meeting and follows the two-year term in office by the previous President, Dale Croker, Managing Director of KSB UK.
