The device works on the basis of the mobile wireless standards GSM and GPRS and transmits an SMS message to the user's cell phone in the event of a fault or status change. Users can also switch the plant on or off by themselves by means of an SMS message. Up to five other telephone numbers can be stored in the alarm module in addition to the administrator number.

The new technology can be used in residential buildings and utility buildings to control, for example, heating, air conditioning and cooling systems, emergency power supplies, motors, or automatic systems. The alarm module is easy to install on the mounting rail in the distribution cabinet and can be started up immediately.
