Linatex Sells Process Technology Line to McLanahan Corporation

Linatex Corporation of America announces the sale of its process technology product line to McLanahan Corp., Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Linatex will continue to manufacture and distribute its signature product line, premium natural rubber sheet and fabricated products.

The process technology line comprises engineered systems and specific equipment such as cyclones, separators, hydraulic classifiers, and dewatering screens. McLanahan will also assemble and distribute the Linatex line of pump products and spares.

"Customers will benefit from each company's specialization: rubber lining from Linatex; process equipment from McLanahan," said Martin Pugh, President, Linatex. “The future of Linatex lies in rubber technology; we have recently invested $9 million to improve our manufacturing and processing of natural rubber in Malaysia.”

Terms of the sale include the transfer of 15 Linatex personnel and engineers, who will join a new organization to be known as LPT Group Inc., a Division of McLanahan Corporation. This division will operate from a new facility located in Gallatin, Tennessee, which is near the current Linatex facility. Testing of customer materials will be conducted in a new lab at the McLanahan location.

"It is our intent to provide seamless transfer of this technology and to continue to serve existing customers with the high quality products for which Linatex has always been known," said Mike McLanahan, President/CEO, McLanahan, Corp.

For over 75 years, Linatex has produced natural rubber products to extend equipment life in the global mining, sand & gravel and materials handling industries.

McLanahan Corp. was established in 1835 and is now headed by the fifth and sixth generation of McLanahans. It is recognized around the world for the processing equipment it supplies to pit, mine and quarry industries.
