Large Water Supply Order for Coal Mine in Australia
GF Piping Systems, a Corporate Group of Georg Fischer, has secured an CHF 8 million order to supply until the end of 2013 high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping systems for the extension of a major Australian mine.
Owing to the vast amounts of water to be supplied over large distances but also to be recycled, mining has become an important and growing market segment for GF Piping Systems. The primary applications include the separation of minerals, the supply and distribution of water to and within the mine, as well as process water for all hydraulic equipment. The order puts in evidence the successful penetration of the mining market by GF Piping Systems, a sector with considerable potential in Australia and worldwide.
