Kathy Giddings Named Flowserve Vice President, Corporate Controller

DALLAS, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Kathy Giddings has assumed newresponsibilities as Vice President and Controller for Flowserve Corporation (NYSE: FLS). Giddings had been the Vice President and Controller for the company's Pump Division since July 1997.

"With Kathy's strong operational and external reporting experience, she will be a key team member in improving Flowserve's performance," said C. Scott Greer, Flowserve's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
During the past year, Giddings was actively involved in the Ingersoll-Dresser Pump Company acquisition, which was completed in August 2000. She came to Flowserve upon its formation in 1997, having been corporate controller for Durco International (formerly Duriron Company) since December 1993.

Giddings joined Durco international in January 1993, and held various corporate finance positions, including Director of Financial Reporting. Her professional experience includes providing financial counsel to senior management during the Durco-BW/IP merger that created Flowserve, as well as the Durametallic, Mecair and Sereg Vannes acquisitions.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Dayton in 1985 and received an MBA from the University of Dayton in 1989.

A member of the Financial Executives Institute, Kathy is married with two children.
