Jürgen Amedick Becomes New CEO for the Drives Portfolio for Industry and Infrastructure Applications at Siemens

Drive manufacturer Flender has officially completed construction work on the expansion of its site in Voerde, Germany, with the opening of its new logistics and storage hall for the assembly of large gear units. The hall has been built on an open area on the company’s premises covering almost 8,000 square meters.

Delta has announced the launch of its new Open-Loop Variable Torque Standard Drive VP3000 for fan, pump and compressor applications. The VP3000 is specially designed to enhance fluid machine operation efficiency and reduce inverter harmonic distortion for a wide range of fluid applications.

German drive specialist Flender today announced that Christian Terlinde will take over the company’s Group CFO position starting July 1. Terlinde is currently Group CFO at German commercial vehicle supplier Jost Werke SE.

With Sinamics G220, Siemens is launching a new high-performance frequency converter to join the Sinamics family. The innovative frequency converters are equipped with so-called clean power technology.

Kollmorgen announced the new P80630-SDN stepper drive. Customers can now benefit from features such as smoothness, precision and torque across the full speed range in a significantly more compact package that enables smaller, lighter, more versatile machines.

A short shaft, only two slide bearings – independent from the immersion depth – and various monitoring functions not only ensure high reliability but also mean cost advantages for the operator. Since it is supplied as a lock pump, easy servicing is guaranteed at the same time.
