Jim Pope Appointed Director Of Finance For Blackmer
Blackmer, a global leader in pump and compressor technologies and a Pump Solutions Group (PSG) company, has announced the promotion of Jim Pope to the position of Director of Finance.
Mr. Pope joined Blackmer 17 years ago and in his time at the company he has contributed to a number of important initiatives within the business. In his new role, Mr. Pope will be a key member of Blackmer’s leadership team, reporting directly to Tom Madden, Blackmer’s Managing Director, and Will Barton, CFO of PSG. He will have overall responsibility for Blackmer’s Accounting, Information Technology and Distributor Contact Administration/Export Control departments.
“Jim has continuously proved that he can get results that are beneficial to the Blackmer organization,” said Madden. “As a member of Blackmer’s leadership team, Jim will work with the other directors and myself to continue to drive changes for higher levels of success for Blackmer. He is a welcome member to that team.
Mr. Pope received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Western Michigan University and first passed his CPA certification in 1985. He is also a veteran of our country’s Armed Forces, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a 1st Lieutenant from May 1973 to May 1976.
