James McGill New Vice President – Eaton Asia/Pacific
Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation made James W. McGill vice president for Eaton's Asia/Pacific Region. He succeeds Donald H. Bullock, who is concluding his Asia/Pacific assignment and will return to the United States.
McGill will report to Craig Arnold, senior vice president and president - Fluid Power Group. Arnold is responsible for the Asia/Pacific Region as a member of Eaton's Office of the Chief Operating Officer. McGill will be located in Eaton's Shanghai, China, office.
"The Asia/Pacific Region is very important to Eaton, and we plan to increase sales in the region to $2.5 billion by 2010 through internal growth and acquisitions," said Alexander M. Cutler, Eaton chairman and chief executive officer. "Jim McGill will continue building Eaton's important regional relationships with our customers and partners as we serve a number of fast-growing Asia Pacific markets and industries with our technologies and products."
McGill has been vice president - Eaton Business System since July 2004. Prior to that, he was the vice president and general manager of Eaton's Industrial Controls Division (ICD) in Milwaukee. He has 29 years of combined Westinghouse and Eaton service and has held several significant leadership roles in Eaton's Electrical Group, including experience in Asia. McGill holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Miami University in Ohio.
"Jim's operations expertise, knowledge of the company and previous experience in Asia will be invaluable as we continue working to solidify Eaton's presence in the region and plan for future growth," Arnold said.
Arnold added, "I also want to acknowledge Don Bullock's work in solidifying Eaton's presence in the region and ensuring that the building blocks are in place in terms of infrastructure and talent."
