ITT Water Technology Names Mark Campbell its New Training Manager

14.02.2005

Mark Campbell has accepted the position of Training Manager for ITT Water Technology Inc., succeeding Jack Stubbs who has retired. In his new role at ITT Water Technology Inc., Mark will be responsible for all training programs related to the Goulds Pumps, Red Jacket Water Products and Marlow Pumps brands.

“Though Jack and I have unique perspectives on training, both of us acknowledge that it is the key element separating ITT Water Technology Inc. from all its competitors,” Campbell stated.

Campbell takes over management of the company’s Pump School that has graduated more than 20,000 dealers and distributors since it started in early 1960s. The new ITT Water Technology Training Manager says he has plenty of ideas up his sleeve to keep participants active and interested in the highly popular three-day pump school. Like Jack Stubbs, a former Marine Corps Drill Sergeant, Campbell says his military background on a U.S. Navy nuclear submarine will come in handy in his new job.

“During a six-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy operating, maintaining – and sometimes breaking pumps aboard nuclear submarines, I developed a real passion for analyzing why some pumps fail and determining the right long-term solutions for tricky problems,” Campbell said. Mark Campbell began his career with Goulds Pumps in 1992 as a sales representative in the South Central Region. His territory grew rapidly and earned him recognition in the company’s Water Systems Salesman’s Club.

Campbell left the company in 1996 to pursue outside interests, returning in 2003 as a Commercial Business Manager before becoming a Market Development Manager. “I believe that training our customers and our staff is essential to our continued growth and success,” Mark said. “Factory schools are the core of this education.” About the man he replaces, Mark said: “Jack was an icon around here, as was Don Radford, his predecessor. I attended my first factory schools instructed by Don, and I know I’ll have very large shoes to fill.” “All I can do is work diligently to do my best to continue the tradition of our factory schools that are recognized by all as the very best learning experience in the industry,” he said.

Goulds Pumps, Red Jacket Water Products and Marlow Pumps are brands of ITT Water Technology, Inc. - a subsidiary of ITT Industries, Inc., the world's largest and premier pump manufacturer, and offers the most complete range of pumps available for the residential, municipal, commercial, agricultural, and wastewater markets. ITT Industries, Inc. supplies advanced technology products and services in key markets including: electronic interconnects and switches; defense communication, opto-electronics, information technology and services; fluid and water management and other industrial products. Headquartered in White Plains, NY, the company generated $6.8 billion in 2004 sales. In addition to the New York Stock Exchange, ITT Industries stock is traded on the Midwest, Pacific, Paris, London and Frankfurt exchanges.
