ITT Appoints Angela Buonocore to Lead Corporate Relations

ITT Corporation today announced the appointment of Angela Buonocore to lead the Corporate Relations function effective March 5, 2007. She will replace Thomas R. Martin, who is retiring. Her nomination to become a Vice President of ITT will be presented to the company's Board of Directors in early March.

In this leadership role, Buonocore will be a member of the company's Executive Council and will be responsible for worldwide brand and reputation management, public relations, employee communications, government affairs, corporate advertising, community relations and corporate philanthropy. She will report to Steven R. Loranger, ITT's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

"We are delighted to have someone with Angela's extensive background and proven track record joining ITT," said Loranger. "We consider the corporate communications role to be critical in transforming business strategy into action and I know she will be a key player on our executive team. I also want to thank Tom Martin for more than a decade of contributions to ITT's success. Tom and his team have made a real difference in creating a unified ITT and we wish him well in his next chapter as an educator."

Buonocore joins ITT from The Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG) in Somers, New York, where she served as Vice President, Corporate Communications since 2001. She has been with the Pepsi system since 1994 and in her most recent role was responsible for PBG's public relations objectives and strategy and communication with the organization's 66,000 employees. She also led the company's charitable contributions and community efforts through The Pepsi Bottling Group Foundation.

Buonocore's past communications experience includes 11 years at the International Business Machines Corporation and five years at General Electric Company in advertising, media relations, publishing, marketing events and employee communications roles.

She was elected a member of the Accademia Europea per le Relazioni Econimiche e Culturali in 2003. The organization, based in Rome, Italy, was founded in 1981 and unites prominent Italians and Italian Americans in its mission to develop economic, cultural and humanitarian projects throughout the world. She is a member of the Wisemen and the Arthur W. Page Society, both organizations of senior corporate communications executives. She was elected a trustee of the Page Society in 2004 and an officer in 2005.

Buonocore holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising with High Honors from the University of Florida and is also Vice Chair of the University's Public Relations Advisory Council.
