Impeller.net sets up a record

03.12.2002

The dynamic development of impeller.net (www.impeller.net), the online pump magazine, continues. In November, more than 22.000 unique visitors per month were recorded for the first time. As this trend shows, the website continues to extend its leading position as an information source for pump buyers and users.

Impeller.net sets up a record

Impeller.net, the premier online pump magazine with the integrated global PumpSelector, provides pump experts with the very latest news from industry and science. Pump buyers use this source either to retrieve information about technical trends or to select and configure centrifugal pumps. Impeller.net is the only website featuring pump-related editorials content, an online pump selection and configuration facilities. Impeller.net is the site to meet your potential customers in an easy and direct way. Impeller.net represents a unique opportunity to get into touch with new customers.

The website’s main interest is to support pump users searching for suitable pumps and to provide them with the latest information from the industry. The PumpSelector enables the visitor to select fitting products according to his requirements (e.g. duty point, area of application, fluid and temperature). The products can be selected from an extensive pump data base comprising 12 different manufacturers. Any important pieces of information such as performance curves, technical data, drawings, images and accessories etc. are displayed. Furthermore, the visitor can print data sheets directly from the web browser.

An important aspect for pump manufacturers is data maintenance. As the PumpSelector contains any information necessary for selecting and configuring pumps, it would cause enormous efforts to maintain data separately. VSX – VOGEL SOFTWARE, the operator of the site, solves this problem in the following way. On the one hand, the standardized catalogue interface according to VDMA requirements is supported. The interface enables an automatic update of hydraulic characteristics. On the other hand, VSX offers a complete range of products using the same data format. This ensures that the costumer’s data can be used in the pump selection program Spaix Classic for setting up quotations or supplying a CD version for customer support. It goes without saying that the PumpSelector can be integrated into the pump manufacturer’s website having the corresponding corporate design.
