HI & PSM Announce Variable Speed Drives Summer Webinar Series

26.06.2013

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) and Pump Systems Matter (PSM) have announced the dates of the upcoming Variable Speed Drives 4-part webinar series.

The opening session will be held July 18, 2013 at 1:00pm EDT. Larry Stanley, Regional Applications Engineer, ABB, Inc. and John Smith, Regional Applications Engineer, ABB, Inc. will lead the series. Participants who complete the full series earn 4 Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits directly from HI.

Webinar participants will learn how to significantly improve pump systems reliability when using Variable Speed Drives (VSDs). The series will explain how VSDs may be used to accommodate duty cycles with variable flow and head as well as applications to avoid. Energy optimization, life cycle reduction, single-phase to three-phase power conversion, and inrush current reduction will be discussed in the series.

A complimentary webinar session entitled, “Variable Speed Drives Make Cents”, will take place prior to the 4-part series. It will be held on July 11th at 1:00pm EDT and will last approximately 30 minutes.

The following is a schedule for the Variable Speed Drives 4-part webinar series including the complimentary session:
