Hale Releases Torrent Stainless Steel Valves

04.06.2002

Hale Products has introduced a new valve line built with durable stainless steel balls and fittings designed for demanding fire service severe duty applications.

The Torrent SVS Stainless Steel Valve Line consists of over 300 different parts, including over 80 different valve end options, to meet virtually any possible fire truck pump discharge configuration. An exclusive swing out design and swiveling Vicatulic valve ends make maintenance easy. “Stainless steel offers superior protection from grit and debris,” said Gary Handwerk, Director, Pump Products. “Torrent SVS Valves resist pits and scratches normally prone to conventional fire service valves that have plastic or chrome plated parts. The Torrent SVS Stainless Steel Valve line lasts longer, requires less maintenance, and has true slow-close and self-locking capability. One of the major benefits of the Torrent SVS Stainless Steel Valve Line is the reduction of out-of-service time for valve repairs. Overall, the highly durable Torrent SVS valves are a much better value for a fire department over the life cycle of a fire apparatus as compared to conventional valves.”
