Grundfos Wins Excellence Award for Process Management
The European Institute of Purchasing Management has granted the 2012 EIPM Peter Kraljic Excellence Award for ‘process management’ to Grundfos Group Purchase.

During the 2012 EIPM Purchasing Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, Grundfos Group Purchase received the 2012 EIPM Peter Kraljic Excellence Award for ‘process management’. This validates Grundfos’ excellence in purchasing processes and is the result of a performance assessment based on the EFQM Excellence Model and EFQM best practices.
"This award recognizes Grundfos’ outstanding practices for category management and their process management system and their structured performance measurement solutions", stated the 2012 EIPM Award Jury.
Vice President for Group Purchase Klavs Hornum was happy to receive the award: "This award is a recognition of all our continuous efforts in improving and deploying excellent process management within purchasing throughout the global Grundfos organisation", he says and continues "We deploy the same purchase processes globally and by that we secure competitive prices, aligned procedures and strong relations to our external suppliers."
250 companies around the world applied for an award and 16 were selected and exposed for an assessment based on the well-known EFQM framework. After the assessments 8 winners in 8 different categories were announced.
The Annual EIPM Peter Kraljic Awards recognize the excellence of Purchasing Organisations that act as role models, delivering outstanding performance to their company and demonstrating high level of creativity, innovation, and respect for the environment and society.
