Grundfos recently completed another company purchase this year, taking over the motor production of Italian pump manufacturer, Aturia Pompe S.p.a.

The purchase is a natural step in the co-operation between the two pump manufacturers. Up to now Grundfos has been purchasing motors from Aturia for the company's large submersible pumps as they are a natural supplement to Grundfos' own motor programme. In future Aturia will be purchasing motors from Grundfos.

Approximately 30 staff, employed at the motor factory in Gessate near Milan, will continue their employment after the take-over which will take effect as from Feb. 1, 2001.

With this purchase Grundfos is going to strengthen its position in the market for water-supply pumps.
