Grundfos Indonesia wins E-Company Awards

Grundfos Indonesia receives awards for best IT practices by Indonesia's top business magazine, Warta Ekonomi.

Grundfos Indonesia comes third after the big guys Unilever and Astra International in the category of manufacturing company. The contest attracted more than 370 companies operating throughout indonesia.

The competition, which Warta Ekonomi hosts annually, emphasizes the positive impact that e-business technology has made on a company's daily operations, and companies entering must have had at least 12 months' experience post implementation. This year, the initial research and survey produced a shortlist of 59 companies representing individual lines of business, including finance, retail, manufacturing, transportation, and telecommunications.

Each company participating in the competition was assessed on customer value, process efficiency, tools selection, innovation, vendor management, human resources, and the overall management of information technology development within the organization. The assessment sheet shows that Grundfos Indonesia has the highest score on efficiency. We are the only company having less than 100 employees that receives the awards. A total number of 80 people currently working in Grundfos Indonesia and most of them come into contact with computers.

Grundfos Indonesia feels that IT has become the most important part of running the business in the archipelago comprising of 5 big islands. Each sales people could communicate effectively with the main office or check the stock and the delivery time online. Grundfos Indonesia websites has also made a great contribution. One of the judges commented that we have a simple, fast and very informative site. More than five inquiries were received from customers visiting our website everyday.
