Goulds Pumps and GL&V Announce TRI-O™ Mixer Marketing Agreement

11.02.2002

Montreal, Quebec, Canada - Goulds Pumps of Seneca Falls, NY, USA, and GL&V Pulp Group Inc., Nashua, NH jointly announce a Marketing, Sales and Service agreement for a new high intensity chemical mixer for application on medium consistency pulp. Under this agreement the TRI-O™ Mixer developed by Goulds will be represented in the Americas by GL&V.

The TRI-O™ Mixer uses a unique chemical pre-mix injection coupled with a patented Doubleshear™ Rotor and stationary component combination to reach the highest measured mixing effectiveness demonstrated by any mixer to date. The mixer can be applied in oxygen delignification, reinforced oxygen extraction, chlorine dioxide, and hydrogen peroxide applications. Mills will realize operating cost reductions through increased mixing efficiency and reduced power costs when compared with most current mixer installations across the industry.

"The Pulp Industry has been waiting on an improved medium consistency chemical/pulp mixer that would reduce the horsepower consumption and deliver a higher mixer efficiency than the current level of products available for some time. Goulds new mixer development has clearly accomplished this goal and raises the bar in overall mixer performance. GL&V Group Inc. is delighted to strengthen our oxygen delignification and bleach plant process system by incorporating this powerful product in our portfolio" - Commented Bill Mahoney, Vice President and General Manager GL&V Pulping Group.

In addition to many other products and services, GL&V Pulp Group Inc. provides oxygen delignification and bleach plant systems to the Pulp and Paper Industry. The TRI-O™ Mixer will be marketed as part of the pulp process solutions provided by GL&V Pulp Group Inc. in the Americas.

"We are excited about this partnership. Having GL&V marketing and selling our technology is a major step for Goulds Pumps. We look forward to long lasting relationship." commented Ed Clark, Vice President of Sales for Goulds. David Peschell, Global Marketing Manager of Pulp & Paper for Goulds added: " his is a great marketing fit. The Goulds product is technically superior while the GL&V process knowledge maximizes opportunities for both companies."
