Hard metal pumps, engineered to solve slurry handling problems, are available from Goulds Pumps.

The Model 5500 hard metal pumps fill a wide range of mining applications. These severe duty pumps feature extra thick wet-end components to stand up to the abrasive nature of the most serious mine services. Typical mining applications include:

  • Slurry Transfer - clay, phosphate, soda ash, pot ash
  • Coal Prep - heavy media, hydrocyclone, cyclone feed, thickener underflow
  • Sand and Gravel - aggregate, slurries and tailings

The Model 5500 pump can handle solids to 5" (127mm) in diameter, with flows to 17,000 GPM (3861 m3/h) and heads to 425 feet (139m).

The 5500 Series features large diameter shafts for minimum deflection, and offers a choice of sealing arrangements.
