Gorman-Rupp Company Subsidiary Proceeding on Major New Orleans Flood Control Project
The Gorman-Rupp Company reports that its Patterson Pump Company subsidiary has been reaffirmed as the supplier of pumps for the Permanent Canal Closures and Pumps (PCCP) project with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District.
This significant project was originally awarded in October, 2012, but was challenged by unsuccessful bidders.
The PCCP Constructors, a Joint Venture, which will be utilizing Patterson Pump Company pumps, has received a notice from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to proceed with the project. The value of the pumps that will be supplied by Patterson Pump is estimated to be between $60 and $65 million over the 3 year project period.
Jeffrey S. Gorman, President and CEO said, “We are extremely proud to be the supplier of pumps for this major New Orleans project and look forward to working with PCCP Constructors and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This is a very important project for the greater New Orleans area.”
