Direct and easy access to clean water is a core concern of GF Piping Systems and GF s Clean Water Foundation. Based on this purpose, GF launched the "Walk for Water" in four countries around the world this year. More than 1 000 participants from the US, Germany, Indonesia and Switzerland joined the walk, recognizing that millions of people worldwide have only limited access to clean water.

With the signup-fee and the donation of 125 partners, CHF 350 000 were collected. GF and its Clean Water Foundation has topped up the amount to CHF 500 000. The whole contribution will be donated to the non-profit organization "Water Mission", a long standing partner of GF. The funds raised from this year s walk will primarily be used for projects in Indonesia and Malawi.

GF CEO Andreas Müller underlines: "It is overwhelming for us to see the huge support from our employees and partners in raising funds for this great purpose. This Walk is a little piece of taking our social responsibility. Moreover, our contribution to the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals is important to us and part of our daily business."

Joost Geginat, President GF Piping Systems adds: "With this Walk we recognize the burden of more than 2 billion people who are without daily access to clean drinking water. We are very proud of our employees and business partners for supporting this event so generously."
