Franklin Electric Announces Agreement to Purchase Majority Interest in Turkish Groundwater Pumping Systems Leader Impo

Global water technology leader Xylem was named “Net Zero Carbon Champion” at the 2022 Global Water Awards, recognizing the Company’s work to accelerate the decarbonization of the water sector. In addition to its own commitments to achieve net-zero carbon emissions, Xylem is partnering with utilities, businesses and water managers around the world to help reduce their carbon footprint.

Xylem this week celebrates the production of five million Flygt pumps, continuing its 100-year record of breakthrough water technology innovations. A Flygt Concertor, the world’s first wastewater pumping system with integrated digital intelligence, was the five millionth pump to roll off the production line and will serve the UK-based water utility, Scottish Water.

Atlas Copco Power and Flow has introduced a new technology platform – the Wear Deflector – for its WEDA D70 electric submersible dewatering pumps that deliver exceptional performance, enabling construction and industrial sites to remove water more reliably and improve productivity.

The Alfa Laval company Framo will supply pumping systems for foundations of Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm project. It is the second order for pumping systems in this application and marks an important milestone as it applies the company’s extensive experience from the offshore industry to renewable energy applications.
