Franklin Electric Announces a $1.1 Million Expansion

06.10.2006

Franklin Electric, manufacturer of submersible electric motors and a global supplier of water pumping systems and fuel pumping systems announced a $1.1 million expansion of its Grant County, Indiana electronic components manufacturing facility.

The Grant County facility focuses on assembling electronic drives, controls and accessories for the company’s water and fueling systems product lines. The expansion will consist of adding 19,000 square feet of manufacturing space and approximately 26 jobs to the existing Grant County facility.

R. Scott Trumbull, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Franklin Electric, stated, “The expansion of the Grant County facility is due to the rapidly increasing demand for our existing water and fueling systems product lines. Increasing the capacity of the Grant County facility will allow us to grow with our customers’ demand for electronic drives and controls while meeting our customers’ expectations for availability and on time delivery. In addition, the recent acquisition of Healy Systems, Inc., and its rapid growth in the fuel vapor containment market, will give us the opportunity to consolidate Healy System’s electronic component assembly with our existing Grant County production - thus, relieving capacity constraints at the Healy Systems facility in Hudson, New Hampshire.”

Franklin Electric is a global leader in the production and marketing of water and fuel pumping systems and is a technical leader in submersible motors, drives, controls, and monitoring devices.
