Flygt appoints new UK hire manager

Steve has been employed by Flygt for over 22 years in a variety of roles, largely focused on the contracting and installation of submersible pumps and pumping equipment. For the last three years he was seconded by Flygt to Morrison Construction, the term contractor for Southern Water. As a project manager he was responsible for all aspects of the Contract including design, installation and the procurement of pumps for process and sewerage schemes in the West Sussex area of Southern Water.

Returning to Flygt following this secondment, Steve’s role as UK Hire Manager centres on seeking new business opportunities ensuring quality of service and delivery, liaising with customers including contractors, water companies, cross-hire businesses stocking a range of Flygt hire pumps, and Flygt’s nationwide network of Service Centres.

Flygt has one of the largest and most versatile submersible hire fleets in the UK, which includes drainage and dewatering pumps, mixers, ejectors and aerators, flotation raft systems and all pipework and ancillary equipment. Teams of mobile service engineers are available to supply temporary systems at short notice to overcome an emergency situation and the hire department also offers professional system design. On site support is available if required for sewage diversions and overpumping, site drainage and dewatering, water transfer, aeration and oxidation and sludge mixing.
