Flygt and Godwin Support Recovery Efforts at North River Wastewater Treatment Plant

Dewatering and sewage pumps are the world of manufacturer Tsurumi, which is celebrating its centenary in 2024. Xylem this week celebrates the production of five million Flygt pumps, continuing its 100-year record of breakthrough water technology innovations. A Flygt Concertor, the world’s first wastewater pumping system with integrated digital intelligence, was the five millionth pump to roll off the production line and will serve the UK-based water utility, Scottish Water.

Xylem has received the Water Project of the Year award for the rebuilding, expansion and modernization of one of the largest potable water treatment plant of the local authority in Paris area (Eau de Paris).

The Alto Seveso urban wastewater treatment plant, located in northern Italy, treats wastewater from local textile manufacturers. The plant wanted to reduce the risk of pollutants in its discharge, while reducing energy consumption. With an innovative biological treatment system from Xylem, the plant has cut energy use by 20 percent and improved the water quality of the nearby Seveso River.
