Flowserve Co-Sponsors Midwest Energy Summit

Flowserve Corp., in cooperation with Southwest Michigan First, Consumers Energy and Armstrong International, will co-sponsor a one-day energy summit on June 21, 2004.

The program will be held at the Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC), 7107 Elm Valley Drive, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Attendees will learn from case studies provided by industry leading experts showing how a planned approach to energy consumption can dramatically reduce the cost a business pays for energy. Opportunities for state and government funding also will be discussed.

  • Dr. Neal Elliott, PhD., P.E., industry program director for the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE);
  • Marc Hoffman, director, Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE);
  • Don Casada, consultant to U.S. Department of Energy, and
  • Dr. Gunnar Hovstadius, energy consultant

Process engineers and managers of businesses with pumps, valves, electric motors, steam systems, fans and blowers within the manufacturing process will benefit from this event.
