Fine Bubbles – No Troubles

14.05.2002

The smaller the bubbles, the more efficient the oxygen transfer and the more efficient the biological wastewater treatment. But small bubbles often mean higher costs. ABS now has the solution to this equation thanks to the acquisition of the Finnish company Nopon.

Nopon has made ABS your total supplier for aeration, mixing and pumping processes in municipal or industrial wastewater treatment. The Nopon product range provides excellent process results at a low cost, thanks to very efficient oxygen transfer. The products are also easily maintained and are highly durable and reliable.

Fine-Bubble Aeration Systems

Nopon Oy is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of products for aeration in biological wastewater treatment. The product range is divided into three different groups:

    Nopol DDS Disc Diffuser System

This fine bubble aeration system is used for biological treatment of wastewater in municipal and industrial wastewater

treatment plants. Due to its simple and straigthforward design, the DDS is easy to maintain and has a long life cycle.

    OKI Submersible Aerators

The OKI mechanical submersible aerators mix at the same time as they transfer oxygen. These aerators are suitable for processes where the number of aerators will be changed with time or for temporary use. They could easily be moved for use in another part of the plant. The OKI submersible aerators are much appreciated for use in industrial wastewater treat-ment plants.

    HST Integral Aeration Compressors

The HST compressors are used for oxygen transfer in the DDS and OKI systems (or any other aeration process).

These efficient, high-speed, oil-free compressors consume little energy and produce completely oil-free air, thanks

    to its magnetic bearings.
