Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh is achieving rapid development, with a string of high-rise buildings and shopping centers being constructed one after another. In Cambodia, approximately 70-80% of the urban areas and only 40-50% of the rural areas have a water system. At these seminars, lectures focused on the practice of selecting intake pumps for water supply facilities and introducing pumps which deliver water to the upper floors of buildings.

Ebara has continued deepening its mutual understanding mainly with Southeast Asian countries through technical guidance and other forms of international cooperation. Since the launch of the Ebara Hatakeyama Memorial Fund in 1989, it has organized up to 246 seminars at different locations in Southeast Asia, welcoming upwards of 11,000 participants. This year, Ebara is set to give seminars all over the world in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Colombia, Peru and other locations.

Ebara will continue to contribute to the development of Southeast Asian countries not only by offering pumps and other products and services, but through technical seminars and other international cooperation activities.
