Eaton Withdraws from NYSE Arca

08.12.2006

Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that it plans to voluntarily withdraw its common shares from listing on NYSE Arca, Inc., formerly named the Pacific Exchange. Eaton’s shares will continue to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Chicago Stock Exchange.

This decision was made to eliminate duplicative administrative requirements inherent in dual listings as a result of the NYSE Group’s recent merger with Archipelago Holdings, the parent company of NYSE Arca. NYSE Arca will continue trading Eaton shares on an unlisted basis.
