Eaton Has New Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Eaton Corporation announced that William W. Blausey Jr. has been named vice president, chief information officer. Blausey reports to Richard H. Fearon, executive vice president, chief financial and planning officer.

"Bill has demonstrated an ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and brings a strong understanding of Eaton's operations and plants to the CIO role," Fearon said. "His ability to get results through connecting business needs and information technology solutions make him ideal for this position."

Blausey had been vice president, information technology for Eaton's Fluid Power business since 2001. His career at Eaton spans 20 years. He joined Aeroquip-Vickers in 1986 as a programmer and then moved into increasingly responsible leadership positions in financial applications and manufacturing systems. Prior to his fluid power position, he directed e-commerce initiatives for Aeroquip-Vickers.

Blausey has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
