Eaton Appoints Robert Sell Vice President, Chief Information Officer
Eaton Corporation announced the appointment of Robert Sell as vice president, chief information officer, effective August 11, 2003. Sell will be responsible for directing the company's worldwide information technology operations, providing leadership for enterprise-wide initiatives.
Sell will report to Richard H. Fearon, executive vice president - chief financial and planning officer. Sell replaces Donald H. Bullock, who recently assumed a new assignment as vice president – Asia Pacific.
"We're very pleased Bob has decided to join Eaton," said Fearon. "His deep, functional knowledge of information technology, combined with his proven IT leadership in several different global corporations, are ideal qualifications for this important role.
"With nearly 30 years of information technology and operations experience, Sell most recently served as chief information officer for Moore Wallace Incorporated. He also has served as chief information officer for Brunswick Corporation and Coors Brewing Company, and began his career in engineering at Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Pittsburgh. Sell earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's in business administration from the university of Pittsburgh.
