Dr. Thomas Schweisfurth Leaves Wilo
The supervisory board of WILO SE (Dortmund) informs that the chairman of the executive board Dr. Thomas Schweisfurth will leave the company as of 30 June 2009 in order to seek out new professional challenges.
The supervisory board regrets this decision; however, it agreed to comply with the request of Dr. Schweisfurth to relieve him of his duties in the executive board on short notice and wished him success for his professional future.
In spite of massive currency fluctuations and strongly decreasing activities in Eastern Europe, Wilo was able to realise an increase in turnover above market average in 2008 again. Although strongly grown investments in innovations were made, a more than satisfying result could once more be achieved.
At the extremely successful leading trade fair ISH, the presentation of the new decentralised pump system “Geniax” met an enthusiastic audience. Wilo is excellently positioned in order to use the boost in the energy efficiency market as an opportunity to overcome the crisis together with the market partners.
Dr. Heinz-Gerd Stein, chairman of the Wilo supervisory board, thanked Dr. Thomas Schweisfurth sincerely for his successful management, the strategic orientation of the company and the effective representation of the Wilo group.
Until further notice, Oliver Hermes, CFO, and Dr. Holger Krasmann, COO, will manage the company together and they will also temporarily lead the sales and marketing sector until the vacant position is occupied.
