He succeeds former Technical Managing Director Henrik Newerla, who retired from AUMA Management on 31 July 2018 after 32 years of service to the company.

According to CEO Dr. Jörg Hoffmann, the appointment of Dr. Göttlicher as CTO completes the successful change to a new generation of AUMA Management. On 31 December 2017, former Commercial Managing Director Matthias Dinse resigned from active management and joined the company’s Advisory Board.

The company, which is one of the leading manufacturers of electric valve actuators and has its headquarters in Müllheim, Germany, is now headed by Dr. Jörg Hoffmann as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Management Board, Ferdinand Dirnhofer as Chief Sales Officer (CSO), and Dr. Christoph Göttlicher as CTO. Dr. Hoffmann is responsible for Finance & Controlling, Human Resources, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and IT. Mr. Dirnhofer is responsible for Sales, International Subsidiaries, Service, and Marketing.

Dr. Göttlicher received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, in 1994. Before joining AUMA he held various management positions in research and development in the automobile and plant engineering industries. He has led international teams and has an impressive track record in achieving strategic development goals.

Within AUMA’s new general management team, Dr. Göttlicher will be responsible for the development of new products and business models, including digital services.

“We are happy to have attracted an experienced R&D specialist for this crucial role,” said CEO Dr. Hoffmann. “We appreciate Dr. Göttlicher’s strong focus on development methods and processes – and on the people involved. With his know-how he will create new initiatives, especially for innovation in our automation solutions and digital services, and help us focus on our customers even more. We thank Henrik Newerla for his long-standing dedication and we wish him all the best for the future.”
