DELTA BLOWER – now also for biogas!

19.06.2002

The successful blower units DELTA BLOWER of the Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH have been modified specially for applications in the range of landfill- and biogas as well as also natural - or town gas. Consequently the customer can select from one of the most extensive blower series those unit optimal for his case of application. With totally 10 sizes the DELTA BLOWER for biogas now cover intake volume flows of 60 m³/h up to 2.500 m³/h and overpressures up to 1.000 mbar.

The heart of the DELTA BLOWER are positive displacement blowers with three-lobe pistons where the normally usual pulsations are reduced resp. almost completely degraded by a patented pre-inlet channel already on formation. Regarding the applications in the range biogas, the blower stage is moreover designed with a gastight sealing of the driving shaft. On customer's request also a combined conveying chamber sealing for humid landfill gas as well as Chem-Coat-coating of the rotary pistons and of the conveying chamber is available as special corrosion protection. All components of the unit are installed and mounted on the base support. The cast base support comprises pure metallic, installations completely free from wear with which a uniform sound reduction also without absorption material is attained via the whole speed range. Moreover pressure- as well as suction silencers show an explosion pressure shock resistance of 12 bar.

A further advantage for the user is the driving motor installed on a hinged plate driving the blower stage via narrow V-belt (antistatic). This conception enables that the V-belts are always optimally tensioned and a re-tensioning is not necessary any more, also after a longer period. The extremely compact units are supplied with all accessories necessary for blower operation incl. control and are therefore ready for immediate application.

Due to the modular system beside the standard concept a multitude of customized adaptations are possible without high additional expenditure, such as by-pass operation with overflow controller for keeping the discharge pressure constantly, pressure protection via limiting valve, by-pass with start-up unloading device, shut-off devices, instrumentation and protection as well as much more.

Chlorine Gas Systems: New Electric Safety Valve Makes the System Safer

13.12.2024 -

Chlorine gas plays a key role in the disinfection of drinking and industrial water. However, handling the chemical can pose considerable health risks – from irritation of the eyes to fatal pulmonary oedema. To further improve occupational safety during use, Lutz-Jesco has developed the VakuStop – a vacuum regulator for dosing systems that is equipped with an emergency stop function to prevent uncontrolled chlorine gas leaks directly at the chlorine gas tank in the event of an emergency.
