Crane Co. Names Brad L. Ellis Group Head

Crane Co. announced the appointment of Brad Ellis to Group Head, Merchandising Systems Segment and President, Merchandising Systems ("CMS"). Crane's National Rejector ("NRI") European coin changer operation will report directly to Mr. Ellis as group head.

Brad joined Crane Co. in 1997 as Vice President, Chief Information Officer. In 2000, he assumed the leadership of Crane's Operational Excellence initiative. Eric Fast, president and chief executive officer said, "We are very pleased to have Brad assume this newly created group position that supports our growth strategy by creating a smaller number of larger units." Mr. Fast continued to say, "Brad has been instrumental in helping drive our organization to a culture of continuous improvement through people development, education, tools and best practice sharing. Today, Crane Co. businesses are stronger competitors demonstrated by record levels of achievement in these areas."

As President of CMS, Brad will replace John Barsanti who is leaving the company to join a private equity firm based in the northeast. "We want to thank John for his efforts in improving Merchandising Systems and preparing the business for growth," said Eric Fast.
