Crane Co. Elects Karen Dykstra to Board of Directors

Crane Co. announced that Karen E. Dykstra has joined the Company's Board of Directors with her election at the Company's annual meeting of shareholders.

Ms. Dykstra is currently Chief Financial Officer of Automatic Data Processing, Inc.

Ms. Dykstra has extensive finance and accounting experience with 23 years in financial leadership positions of increasing responsibility with ADP. Currently CFO, her prior two positions with the company were VP Finance, from 2001-2003, and Corporate Controller, from 1999-2001. ADP is one of the largest providers of computerized transaction processing, data communications, and information services in the world, with annual revenues of over $7 billion and approximately 500,000 clients worldwide.

R. S. Evans, chairman of the board said, "We are very pleased to have Karen join the Crane Co. Board of Directors. She brings a professional experience which will enhance our Board."
