Complete Spectrum of Air-Conditioning and Ventilation Technology

14.10.2004

The air-conditioning and ventilation sector is expected to make a powerful showing at the ISH – International Trade Fair for Building and Energy Technology, The Bathroom Experience, Air Conditioning and Ventilation Technology – from 15 to 19 March 2005.

Within the framework the ISH, Aircontec – International Trade Fair for Ai-Conditioning and Ventilation Technology – will bring together topics of interest to the sector and hold the first air-conditioning Forum.

Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt: "With Aircontec, we have developed the optimum concept for the air-conditioning and ventilation sector. Decision makers will be fully informed about future-oriented strategies, technologies and products. At the same time, Aircontec will be positioned as an independent brand and an integral part of the ISH."

Under the name Aircontec, air-conditioning and ventilation technology will occupy around 30,000 square metres (gross) of exhibition space in Halls 5.0, 5.1 and 6.2 and present components, systems, complete installations and modern services.

Since the introduction of the new European directive on Energy Performance of Buildings (EPB), there has been a significant increase in demand for information about innovative concepts and solutions in the field of air-conditioning and ventilation technology. In this connection, the Air-conditioning Forum in Hall 5.1 will provide the right answers.

The Air-conditioning Forum is split into four sections, each of which offers an extensive programme of lectures with top international speakers:

Innovative, central air-conditioning systems and their potential benefits in buildings will be revealed by a special show entitled 'Central air-conditioning systems for people and buildings'. Using the components of the central systems and their functions, the show will explain how this innovative technology can create ideal room-air conditions combined with optimum energy efficiency.

The second special show in the Air-conditioning Forum will focus on the subject of 'Hygiene and energy efficiency: air-conditioning maintenance' and offer an overview of the most up-to-date maintenance and cleaning technology, as well as the entire service spectrum. Careful and professional maintenance and cleaning of air-conditioning plant is decisive for optimum energy efficiency and perfectly hygienic operation.

'Architecture and air-conditioning technology' is the subject of the third thematic block. Using examples based on practical experience, such as surface-oriented and de-central room-cooling systems, the special show will give insights into how it is possible to create an ideal link between architecture and air-conditioning technology. Using well-designed components, it is possible to integrate air-conditioning and ventilation equipment into a room as an architectural element.

Another integral part of the Air-conditioning Forum, the 'Market Place for Room Air-conditioning Equipment', will bring together leading suppliers from the field of room air-conditioning equipment. Here, the focus will be on the latest split, multi-split and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technologies, which can create a pleasant room temperature in new buildings and modernisation projects.

Supplementing the Air-conditioning Forum, the 8th 'Home Ventilation' special show will be held in Hall 6.2 and illustrate how a comfortable room air-conditioning can be achieved with low heating costs in new buildings or existing buildings with central and de-central ventilation systems.

The special shows are being organised by the Building Air-conditioning Institute (Fachinstitut Gebäude-Klima), Messe Frankfurt and the German Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning Association (Zentralverband Sanitär, Heizung, Klima - ZVSHK).

Messe Frankfurt once again expects more than 200 exhibitors to take part in the air-conditioning section of the fair. Altogether, some 2,300 exhibitors will present their products and services on 250,000 square metres (gross) of exhibition space to around 180,000 trade visitors from all over the world at ISH 2005.
