Compact Pump Selection Now Available As Web and Mobile Version

For the first time the latest version of the Spaix Quick&Easy product line is not only available as desktop version that runs without an internet connection, but also as web-based solution. This is the perfect choice for pump manufacturers who are looking for an efficient selection software for their website without having to implement a complete configuration and quoting system. Of course, it is also possible to use the program in an internal network (intranet) for a certain number of users, via the integrated password protection. A special version optimized for the use on mobile devices is complementing the product offer. This ensures that the user always has the ideal solution in each situation when it comes to data access. The application uses the same database on all available platforms.

Users can choose between the hydraulic selection and the direct pump selection which are both already known from the previous versions. New in Spaix 5 Quick&Easy is the QuickSearch, right on the main screen, which enables users to find the right pump even faster. A few steps without an extensive query dialog lead to a qualified duty point-based pump selection.

Spaix 5 Quick&Easy contains all functions for the entry, evaluation, conversion and administration of pump performance curves already known from the “full version” Spaix 5. Moreover, the software includes drive selection and dimensioning. Additional information about the pump can be embedded as external files. For creating data sheets, a graphical design program is available. Included in the scope of delivery is a compilation of standard data sheets that can be individually customized. The selection results can be easily forwarded using the integrated PDF export.

Moreover, users can build up a detailed performance curve database including data of different manufacturers. For this reason, the software is also perfectly suitable for the use in companies of the chemical Industry, for plant engineering firms as well as planning and engineering consultants.

Furthermore, the operating cost calculation allows a comparison of pumps with the focus on economic aspects. The calculation of a pumps life cycle costs (LCC) can either be done according to the methods of Hydraulic Institute or Europump. Additionally, the software provides the calculation of the energy efficiency index (EEI) and minimum efficiency index (MEI) corresponding to current EU regulations.

The multilingualism and a convertible unit system enable a flexible and global use of the software. Spaix 5 Quick&Easy can be extended and customized by optional programs. Using for instance, the program Spaix 5 PipeCalc, enables the user to determine the duty point according to the application and piping system.
