Colin Guppy Named General Manager at HMD Sealless Pumps

Sundyne Corporation announced the promotion of Colin Guppy, who has accepted the position of General Manager for HMD Sealless Pumps in Eastbourne (UK), reporting to the Sundyne President Phil Ruffner.

In this leadership role, Colin will be responsible for establishing the strategy and tactics that will enable the company to be the lowest cost provider of sealless pump products and services. Colin is fully committed to the company’s goal of delivering the most value to our worldwide customers.

Since December 2000 Colin has been the General Sales Manager of Sundyne Europe. He has been successful in building a worldwide sales team for HMD/Kontro/Caster products, implementing the key account management strategy, and providing improved and consistent customer support for pump sales of HMD/Kontro, Caster, Sundyne and Sunflo products at the European bases. He brings strong business experience in manufacturing and sales management to this challenging position. He began his career with Sundyne Corporation at HMD in 1993, and has demonstrated his ability to lead by providing the vision for the European Sales organization, developing strategy, and relentlessly pursuing aggressive targets to achieve the company's sales goals.

Colin has held numerous positions in sales management with HMD Sealless Pumps and was formerly the Sales Manager of Johnson Pumps in the U.K. Colin attended college at Brighton Polytechnic in the U.K. and while there he earned a Production Engineering Certificate from the Higher National Certificate program.

Lee Tebbatt, Managing Director of Wilo UK has been announced as the new President of the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA), following a two-year tenure in the role of Vice President. The position was officially passed on during the BPMA’s Annual General Meeting and follows the two-year term in office by the previous President, Dale Croker, Managing Director of KSB UK.
