Busch Introduces its New Vacuum Concept

28.02.2018

Busch Vacuum Pumps and Systems set itself the task of making the design of its vacuum pumps and systems even more efficient, and has therefore developed the new vacuum concept 5 Elements of Efficiency . This concept addresses five elements which have a major impact on the process stability, availability and process performance of a vacuum system.

Optimizing the efficiency of vacuum applications can yield considerable cost savings. It is therefore worth analyzing vacuum technology in its entirety. Selecting the right components for your vacuum technology is important. However, it is not the only factor which is crucial for determining the efficiency of a vacuum system. Even the best technology cannot reach its true potential when it is not optimally tailored to the process and process requirements. Vacuum components should therefore always be selected based on consideration of the individual process requirements and not only by simply comparing the performance data of the separate components.

The new 5E concept from Busch takes all these elements into account. 5E stands for the five key elements which determine the efficiency of vacuum processes: design, heat recovery, control, centralization and competence.

The design and quality of the vacuum pumps are crucial for performance, efficiency and life cycle costs. Furthermore, kinetic energy is converted into heat when the vacuum pumps are operated. A heat recovery system enables this thermal energy to be used. In order for vacuum systems to obtain optimal process stability and production performance, it is vital to adapt the control system to the production process. Additional savings can be made by centralizing the vacuum system. This kind of system offers the potential for energy efficiency to be increased and operating costs to be decreased. The optimized interaction of all these elements, along with expertise and years of experience, ensures the highest level of efficiency for the operation of vacuum systems.

Sustainable Production Thanks to Efficient Filling Technology: Brewery Velké Popovice Invests in a Turnkey KHS Line

05.12.2023 -

Czech brewery Velké Popovice relies on technology from KHS: at the heart of a new glass line is the Innofill Glass DRS ECO filler. Velké Popovice uses the unfilled beer to cool the vacuum pump and thus save energy. With the installation of the rest of the line’s dry section planned for the start of the coming year, the brewery is thus relying solely on KHS technology – that also includes a number of holistic digital service solutions.
